Token model
How IMDLAB works
IMDLAB is the desk reward token. It is not a wrap of IMD and it does not replace the vault yield. You earn it only while your IMD sits in the desk.
Flow
- Deposit IMD. The desk pulls your IMD and deposits it into the identity.md sIMD vault on your behalf.
- Vault keeps working. Your position still receives the 4.5% burn stream through the vault share price. That yield never becomes IMDLAB.
- Desk emits IMDLAB. Emission runs per second and is split by share of desk deposits. Larger position, larger share of the stream.
- Claim anytime. Pending IMDLAB is minted to your wallet when you claim. Unstake when you want — no lock.

Ballots are not open yet. When they are, weight will be IMDLAB at the snapshot. Stake IMD here if you want a seat when the first vote opens.
How a ballot will work
- Suggest. A proposal names one change to emission, treasury use, or desk parameters.
- Snapshot. Your weight is the IMDLAB you hold when the vote opens.
- Winner. The proposal with the most weight is the one the desk executes.
- No double count. Moving IMDLAB into a new wallet after the snapshot does not add votes.
